One reason to write and publish on the Interwebs is for some accountability. These are goals we have identified that could help us to reach Financial Independence (actually, in most cases they are goals that I’ve had in the back of my head for years, but just never bothered getting around to.) If published, you, dear fellow traveller, can help to keep us accountable.

Goal 1: Research whether our gas, water and electricity providers are as competitive as they could be.
Goal 2: Look into alternative sources of gas/water/electricity; costs and practicality for us.
Goal 3: Investigate how much we could save if we reduced our bin sizes.
Goal 4: Consider getting rid of the home phone.
Goal 5: Research the current and potential value I get from the Union.

Goal 6: Research the best health insurance for us, including cost and services.
Goal 7: Research car insurance policies and prices.
Goal 8: Decide whether we still need life insurance. Compare the two policies we have (inside and outside of super), and shop around to see what else is on offer.
Goal 9: Figure out the easiest way to value our home and contents for insurance, then look around for the best deals.
Goal 10: Research the costs and benefits of Income Protection Insurance.
Goal 11: Find out more about TPD insurance and assess whether we should have it.
